Through our contact with nature, the mind works in full synchronization.
Serene natural scenes, such as the image of a calm sea or a sunset, cause synchronized function in vital areas of the brain, according to the researchers.
The University of Sheffield, according to its research, came to this very conclusion.
In contrast, in an urban environment such as the streets, the synchronous function in the brain is disrupted.
Dr. Michael Hunter, who is leading the research, said:
“People through their contact with nature, experience a feeling of peace as a state of calm and contemplation, which is refreshing in relation to the effects of stress caused by intense attention in their daily lives.
It is known that the natural environment evokes feelings of peace while the artificial, urban environment is experienced as unsettled. “
